Re: Australian Micros
Well, I was sailing in the Balmain (west coast) area for a while on
that day and only saw Lillian Blue at it's mooring, not the mighty
Micro from Woodford Bay!
Yes, well, not next weekend and Port hacking the next, so how about
the weekend after that? Which is 6/7th May?

Oops! Yes, I forgot to report on the trip down, Nels, Mea Culpa!
Actually, after all my worry and concern about the boat being too
heavy it actually towed quite well behind our old Mercedes 300. We
broke the mere 220 km trip up by calling at Caves Beach for lunch
with a cousin, but the tow was fine.
When we got the boat to Sydney we left it on it's trailer outside
our terrace house in Balmain and it stayed there for the week with
no problem. We are paying to store the boat at a storage facility
near-by now for a few more weeks before we take it back up to
Pindimar. We have been out on the harbour twice now and although
ramps are busy around here!! it wasn't too bad.
Next week-end we will be back to Pindimar but the week-end after
that we shall take the boat further south to the Hacking River so
that two of my aunts can have a look, and maybe a short sail. One
aunt has a great pontoon down there which will make things easier
and allow them to get on easily (one eighty and the other ninety).
Off Balmain on Monday we sailed past Lillian Blue, another Micro,
but didn't see any sign of the owner. Not game enough to go up the
Lane Cove River yet and display my poor Micro sailing ability to
John Mann!!
Maybe I'll pluck up the courage (or hide) soon.

Just created a file in the Bolger 7 Overflow called Australian Micros
and put one picture of the Pindimar Micro, Matilda Jean screaming
along on Sydney Harbour/Parramatta River just before we took her out
at the boat ramp at Drummoyne.
A guy by the name of Bill Fisher had been photographing the boat as it
passed the Gladesville Bridge and approached the ramp (rushing to get
in B4 the rush) So, the motor was on as well as sailing!
Hence the rather surfer girl look of the boat??
Bill kindly came over and offered to email the photos he took and here
is one but no landmarks of Sydney I'm afraid
