Windermere Progress

I see that Peter has a threat going on the WoodenBoat forum showing the build progress on
Windermere. He's got so many pictures he'd be onto Bolger 8 here!

It's great to see a Bolger boat getting so may positive comments there. After seeing LESTAT
when he had her, I'm positive she's going to be a gorgeous boat when he's done.

It makes me motivated to get the airplane completed so I can get back to the Plywood 12-
1/2 when I see how much fun he's having.

(Sorry if some of you got this twice - the first one had a bunch of formatting issues so I
deleted and reposted!)
I had the very great pleasure of visiting Peter's bowshed in Montreal
and seeing the progress on the windermere. The quality and quantity of
work Peter has done is remarkable and is no doubt the finest
craftmanship I have experienced. The amazing attention to detail and
concern for our climate will make this craft extremely functional, easy
to maintain and livable in most weather. I anxiously await the planned
launch in this year and hope to see it on waterways in our area. It
will be easy to spot, just look for the admiring crowd and media
attention. Phil Bolger will be proud of his disciple and the results.
Of course the bar is set very high for us four thumbed tinkers but a
boat that is afloat is better than none. Keep it up Peter. (the
boatwork) regards Paul McLellan dusting off our Houseboat #481 for
another summer of pleasure on the canadian waterways.
