Yes, I took another person out with me several times. It helps if the
other person can at least steer the boat. I found it best to have
the "passenger" sit on the seat in the rear and steer, then I sat on
the rail and trimmed the sail. Another adult could probably fit on the
other side, but I haven't tried it yet.

Hi Bobby,
That's a great looking boat and obviously a very fine build job.
Congratulations!

I fifnished my Bobcat and sailed her! Pictures are posted in the

I finished my Bobcat and sailed her for the first time at the DuckWorks
Gulf Coast Messabout last weekend. I want to thank everyone that has
given me advice over the last several months. I am happy to say that I
rigged the boat on tuesday (never messed with a gaff rig before) and
sailed her on Friday. She did Great!!! Everything worked right out of
the box, so to speak. I need to make a few modifications to improve
sail shape and ease of launch, but I am VERY pleased with this boat. A
few months ago I told my wife that with my luck I will have spent a
little over a year building a very pretty boat that sails like @#$!@#$!
I was wrong she sails great, is very stable, even in 15-20 knot winds!!
The Bobcat is a great design and well worht the effort.
