Re: Bolger Brick "Tetard" for sale

Hi-

I think you are overlooking the obvious solution. SAIL the Brick to
France!

Oops, I forgot that there is no signature on these posts.

I am in Jamaica Plain (Boston), Massachusetts, thought the boat is
located in Southborough, about 25 miles west of the city.
Those of you who have visited my site know all about my red and white
Bolger Brick "Tetard." If not, read all about it at

Well, my wife, my son & I are leaving Boston, Massachusetts, and, in
fact, the USA behind in a month or so to live near her family in
France for a while, and then possibly elsewhere overseas. While
"Tetard" is small, it is still to big to check as luggage, so I must
reluctantly put it up for sale.

The boat is 2 years old, built by a conscientous beginner of basic
materials and latex housepaint, but with bronze boat nails and
hardware and a Bohndell sail from H. H. Payson. The hull has been
stored outdoors in the shade on small wooden stands, and the rest
indoors. I will let the hull, rudder & leeboard go for $200, the sail
and spars for $200, or the whole for $350, firm. I would really like
the whole boat to go to someone who will sail the paint off it, maybe
some kids.

Lincoln Ross has already expressed an interest, so he gets first
dibs, and I sent an ad in to MAIB a few days ago, but I am sure
someone
on the list would like to give my first boat <sniff!> a good home.

Matthew
