Re: Cheap PaintBrushes???

I use synthetic (nylon?) brushes - six for a dollar from the dollar
store. I have noticed no difference between natural bristle and
synthetics, at least in the time that it takes for the epoxy to cure.
Also, no one seems to have any qualms about using synthetic foam
rollers with epoxy so why not synthetic brushes?

Finally, I am trying to incorporate as many dollar store items as
possible in my boat - this is probably the result of my Scottish
heritage. As for the result? - I plan on saying that I prefer that
"workboat" finish. I just reread Men's Lives by Peter Matthiessen,
which is about the last haul seine fisherman on Long Island. The
photos in the book of the power skiffs, sharpies and dories
illustrate the "workboat" finish to which I aspire.. I swear that
one of the dories is planked or at least repaired with fibreboard.

List,

Anyone got a line on a cheap paint brush for one time use in epoxy. I bot
about 50 assorted hog hair (or something) brushes from Builders Square for
under $5.00 about 3 years ago and they never got any more. Now sell the
individual brushes for $.80 each. I bot some from one of the houses like
"Nothern Tool and Equipment", but they were nylon bristle and don't work as
well. Sounds like a good search opportunity for the "Cheap Pages"!!!

thanks in advance,
