It certainly would cut and tape up as a model, I have done similar
many times already.

I think the 'ess curves' are missing because I faired the strakes 'by
eye' based on having done this a couple dozen times already.

I called the model a Chebacco, but I would bet it is accurate only to
within a couple inches or so. But that is the beauty of lapstrake, it
is forgiving.
Interesting. I didn't get it right using Hulls and taking the "lining off" from the plans -- close, but very glad I left some wiggle room. Six strakes per side is what the plans show plus the bottom.

I don't see the "ess curve" that characterizes several of the strakes. Have you tried cutting and pasting your plot? (When cutting, one must leave about 3/4" at the "top" for the lap with the next strake, but you knew that.)

Onhttp://home.insightbb.com/~derbyrm/Misc.htmlI show the ones I plotted and the ones you posted. Note: there are three separate images combined into one and the scales are probably different.

I didn't know how many strakes were on the plans, so I guessed, based
on what 'looked' right.

The 'fbm' file could be easily stretched to 25 ft, using the
'transform' command.
Oh Bruce you are such a tempter!! You going to do a FreeShip lapstrake
of the 25? Did you pick the strake spacing your self or did you work
off of the lapstrake version of the plans?
