[bolger] Topaz assembly
I and a friend spent the afternoon putting the sides on the boat. This
after spending the morning placing all the bulkheads in place. I used
two floor jacks I borrowed from another friend. All went well until
approaching the bow. Panic time, this thing was not comming out as
planned. A pre-designed and drastice curve is built into the bottom to
take the arched bottom. Some time spent removing screws and leveling
the boat helped. Now the sides nest in fairly well. Some gapiosis in
the first three feet from the stem and short by four inches. Not a big
deal with a little creative changes and additions. I even added
temporarily, the cabin sides for effect. This is an awsome looking
boat. When it has the red valoure, tufted settees and walnut trim
done, all I will have to do to finish the boat is hire a butler to
serve tea. My wife suggests a captain dressed in white would look
nice. Hang in there, Brad
