Re: Tall Ships
I'll be out on the bay as spectator aboard "KATE" a 27 ft. fiberglass
sloop. Number 1715 on the sail. If you see us, give a hail.

The Tall Ships are part of OPSAIL 2000, have been in Charleston, now in Norfolk, will be in
Baltimore, then Phily, then on North. If you search opsail2000, I think you'll find the
pages from each host city. I'm hoping to see some come up the Chesapeake, the 21st and 22nd,
to be in Baltimore by the afternoon of the 23rd.Clyde Wisner

Has everybody seen the picture of Bolgers tall ship( I have put it in the
vault)... I find it interesting (and a bit reassuring!!) to be building a boat
designed by somebody who managed this!! Sorry, no offence Phil if you are
reading this... But the Micro had to pass the "my wife " test. She formally
vowed never to set foot on any boat which didn't have a man playing the piano at
dinner time until I convinced her to let me build my little Micro!!

still is. Since I live just 20 miles down Long Island Sound, I have
seen her from time to time.
My biggest complaint in reference the Rose is that she is used by
just about every documentary maker who needs pictures of a square-
rigged warship no matter what the period, type, etc. She must appear
on TV once a week in some story or other about pirate treasure,
revolutionary battles (for which she is appropriate), the age of
discovery, etc.
At any rate, she's about 20 years old now and has gotten over a lot
of miles of ocean.
