Have just had a 45 minute phone call from Phil and Suzanne! It seems they are doing some spring cleaning and found a CD full of our Bolger boats that my brother Hugo posted to them about 1 or 2 years ago!! They said a bit about the delays caused by the Naval and Fishing projects and Phil offered his profound apologies, so it seems they are slowly working them through. I told them as the Lobster boat is under way to relax on our other design. Phil said they have only had one client pull out with a refund! I think I asked about that last time I posted. The lobster boat hull is now planked and ribbed with about 2/3 of the ribs left needing to be bronze nailed through the planks. HE said the 55hp yanmar should be perfectly suited to the easily driven hull with some talk of how the modern boats are pushing out big hp 600-700 and a report of one doing 49.5 kts! I'm amazed that they rang at about 1am their time.
I will be sending the full set of about 500 pics of the lobster boat construction process plus some of Dad's harbinger cat boat "Dolly T" under sail, I will look forward to a reply.
As Peter Lenihan would like to say "From the sunny shores of the Mighty Tamar river" clear blue skies and mid 20s centigrade" pity to have to work all week!
