Open Cruiser & Sneakeasy

Thanks for your response, Fritz. I have often cruised -- and enjoyed -
- your web site. Indeed, I have had it bookmarked for many months. We
moved to this house three years ago, partly so I'd have space to at
last build a boat. First we had to get the garden established,
however -- and that's ongoing! So much infrastructure!! Next winter
for the boat, I tell myself. In the meantime I read Bolger, Payson,
Parker, Stambaugh... and surf sites like yours.

I have been drawn to Sneakeasy ever since reading Boats with an Open
Mind. It really appeals to me (although I do have some concern about
being tempted into open water on the Strait of Juan de Fuca). But
when I stumbled upon the cartoon for Outboard Cruiser I was intrigued
by it as well and wanted to learn more if possible. To my untutored
eye, it's a bit like a scaled-down Idaho -- and I thought it might be
suitable for towing behind my VW Westfalia camper. There's not all
that much protected water on Southern Vancouver Island and I'd like
to trailer to Lake Roosevelt, the Sacramento River, and so on. (I
love inland waterways; one of our best vacations was cruising by
narrow boat on England's Four Counties Ring.)

But I ramble. If I decide on Sneakeasy (which I very well might,
although I feel I should practice on something smaller first) I will
certainly be calling on you for advice.

Cheers.
