Micro Ply Thickness

I would like to add my opinion.
Micro "Oink" is built to plan, ie 1/4" ply throughout. Not fibreglassed
except for the chines.
Has been on an exposed mooring for over a year with several 45knot
blows, without damage, but lots of pounding up and down. But the boat
is small and light, and very unlikely to hurt itself (rolls with the
punches).
I think the standard construction is adequate (apart from the foredeck
where I put in 2 longitudinal additional stringers ), provided chines
are well glass taped etc etc.
However, if I built another Micro, I would use 1/2" on the bottom, 3/8"
on sides, 1/4" for the rest.
Why?
Because there is always the chance of another boat hitting you sailing,
or on the mooring, or, horrors, you hitting someone else. I have had 2
unknown boats hit my previous boat on my mooring.
The bow well is great. The standard deck/cockpit layout is fine,
