It is true in many of his designs, the curves have to be seen in real
life to be appreciated. When we were building the cartoppers, I would
just walk around the shop looking at them from different angles, they
were just luscious.

The flat published drawings of Grandpa's Pirate Ship don't easily
reveal the 3D genius of Phil Bolger who somehow magically manages to
squeeze maximum capability into such a tiny hull 22 feet x 7'2".
