Howdy

Sorry but have been ease dropping on this group for a couple of
months now. I currently have a Long Micro upside down in my
driveway. Hull is 90% finished. Decks finished and inside of cabin
is ready for finish. Currently working on keel. Poured lead last
week with no problems. Following instructions here really pays off.
This is very easy actually. The pour only took 2-3 hours and I wonder
why you would do it any other way.

Boat is 1/2" MDO. Marine Plywood in New Mexico is more of a Myth and
a con than a reality. MDO works great. Finished side in and glassed
exterior. What is Marine MDO???? Everything is to plan and
overbuilt as I am too ignorant to do it any other way.

Can not speak to sailing characteristics yet but would like to say
that the engineering applied to the design is exceptional. Watching
it go together I repeatedly find myself thinking "that's why he did
that" Boat is very strong and I hope safe.

I am concerned about paint more that anything and have seen some good
commentary here. Thanks

I am curious as to how many completed boats have the bolger designed
rudder hardware. The Pintle has a blind nut and a couple of screws.
I am compelled to stick with the plans but I also like the look of a
heavy duty Pintle and gudgeon from West Marine. Guidance here would
be appreciated.

Thanks
