It seems TOHATSU/NISSAN have remote throttle and shift conversions
available for tillered motors as small as 4 HP.(Including a steering
arm conversion.)

Remote start for as small as 8 HP jobbies. Also 12V alternators are
available as an option for boats down to as small as 4 HP. On the
electric starting ones it is of course standard.
But the nice thing is one can manually start a 4HP and still have
remote throttle and shift capability and a small 12V alternator. Not
sure any other model outboards have those features - which would be
really kind of handy on a Micro Navigator, Chebacco motorsailor,
Martha Jane etc.
