Re: New Pictures posted for Old Shoe

---
Tks Nels,

I'm using Okume and clear grain fir for cleats/framing. Purchased
through Edensaw in Port Townsend, Wa. Wonderful folks to deal with.
Strong back was construction grade lumber.

Well, she is a baby Micro. The Micro was orignally my first choice,
but as I looked more closely to how I would be using the boat, the
Shoe stood out. I think the Mirco would push the limits of my garage
for building space, be heavier to deal with and I just don't need the
cabin, etc. The Shoe will have many of the nice qualities that the
Micro has for sailing, etc. and should be that perfect retirement
lake boat. Since I do alot of single handed sailing, I need a boat
that I can easily handle. Well.. I will find out at the launch ramp
when that day comes. My cruising and "terror on the high seas" days
are done. I dream of lazy sailing days, on a lake of my choosing, in
a boat that I can stretch out, lean back and let her tend to
herself. It will probably be more like foaming seas with jets skies
jumping over me and plastic powerboats generating 8ft sunamis....
ahhh, I can hardly wait.

Regards,

Dennis
Bellingham, Wa.
