Re: Raka: Raka Roll?
I just started my DAKOTA project w/Raka. Have used WEST on
past projects. I prefer 2:1 mix ratio, more margin of
error. So far, no problems, very little blush. I use fast
hardener, slow hardener, or a combination depending on the
temperature and the open time I require. I couldn't
remember what I paid; so I just checked their web site
http://www.raka.com/They list 3 qt kit (3/4 gal) at $39.
Their per gallon rate ranges from $43 for a 6 qt kit to
$31.50 if you buy 30 gallons.

I used all Raka Products on Flynn's Folly ( bobcat) I was very pleased with
the results and Larry at Raka was extremely helpful

dog got into the shipment before the owner came home. that was a real mess,
but the remaining stuff still worked :-)

I've had blush with the regular Raka, but of course they tell you in
the instructions that this happens. Not what I'd call a defect as
they
have a non blushing version. And maybe if I'd only used it on dry
days....

I have used West, System three, and Raka, and I like Raka the best. I have
never had blush with Raka, but I have with both of the other two. I also
like the service, and the fact that they ship in plastic jugs ready for
pumps.

I've used regular (i.e. blushing) Raka some and it's acted just as
it's supposed to.

I like it very much myself (obvioulsy)
I've had no problems with it, and this winter when I start on my stripper,
I'll be using Raka slow cure.
