Re: Spam

I read all my groups online that way I can filter out what intrests
me rather then fill my E-mail box. Second I leave my Yahoo turned off
most the time and use personal E-mail rather then Yahoo's it is
listed in profile. Third I set security a little higher on my MSN E-
mail account to get rid of 99% of all junk Mail. If some one wants
through they just need to fill in subject relating to boats or topic
for me to look at it. Spam is not something I get from Yahoo groups
just the wifes surfing for stuff not needed or typical phishings. LOL
It may have happened when you joined this group but I would guess it
came from somewhere else you surffed on the web. Opening junk mail
one place or another on line can get you on many junk mail lists.

Bob what you do is click on then and then hit the Spam
button. That way the system knows they are junk mail.
Doing that I have cut down on a lot of the junk I get
now.

Got a little couch potato?
Check out fun summer activities for kids.

I have not received any spam to my yahoo email account for over a year
since I opened it as I've been very careful who I give it out too. As
soon as I joined the Bolger group, my inbox started filling up.
Apparently, someone here is a scummy spam bucket and they are blasting
me with junk.

Bob
The motorsailer has been for sale for at least two years now. He's
reduced it several times, starting price was around $70,000 IIRC. I
think you could buy it pretty well right now.

I've loved that boat since the first time I saw one. If only I lived in
the right place to have such a boat... That's one that would tempt me to
do something I'm otherwise vehemently opposed to: borrowing money to
acquire a depreciating asset.

Although, I have to think if you were to buy that boat and keep up with
maintenance, you wouldn't lose your original capital investment. The
operating expenses would be pretty high compared to a more modern boat.
Even so, with the depreciation you took on your capital investment on
the modern boat it work out to be about the same.

Seems like not even factory built wooden boats hold their prices very
well. I read some of the Classifieds in WB magazine and try to guess
at the asking prices and they are all over the place.

This was maybe the most extreme I have noticed in awhile:

I wonder if the owner got a bit carried away with the restoration?

$325 so typical of used boat selling. The sales price equals a fair
price for the trailer, and the boat is free.
