Re: [bolger] Cruising the Keys
Michael,
The web sitehttp://managingthewaterway.com/should have some current information. They publish a book that covers that area and supplement it with up to date listings on the web site. They also have a collection of government raster and vector charts available on a dvd. Interesting site. I heard them interviewed on the furledsail podcast. Mark and Diana Doyle I believe were their names.
Sincerely, Gene T.

Subject: [bolger] Cruising the Keys
We have been taking a break from the Loop since February but are gearing up to get cruising again as soon as the hurricane season ends (November/December) .
We are planning on spending some time in the FL Keys. We are hoping to spend up to two months in the area.
We have a Bolger AS-29 that draws only 14" with the boards up, so draft shouldn't be much of a problem. What we are concerned with is the reports of marina closings due to condo developments.
Does anyone on the list have any up to date information on marinas or moorings in the Keys?
We would be interested in a slip if the price was reasonable. A sublet, or a dock at a home, anything that is reasonably priced. We do not have a motor on our dingy, so a mooring would have to be fairly close to shore.
Any information regarding status, availability and pricing would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike Wagner
