Re: [bolger] Re:Blackliner
The Blackliner has been featured in the last three issues of Messing
About In Boats. A great idea, I think, and is definitely a PB&F
design, that is...it is a strong collaboration of PCB and SA. The
shape, size and construction method, is very similar to a Topaz. with
the exception that it is 'wider' at the stern, with a motor well like
a sneakeasy (though covered with a raised deck).

I'm not supprised, No one knows about the Blackliner so how are we supposed to talk about it. Give us a link or something so we can be come educated.

I'm surprised that there is little chatter on the group about Bolger's
new designs #679 -A and -B. Phil has obviously worked long and hard on
the Blackliner and thought things through in detail. The flexibility
of the design for both fishing and coastal cruising suits lots of
applications. One that especially interests me is to use the Dayboat
version and extend the cabin aft in the "streetcar boat" fashion to
produce a cruiser similer to Champlain but longer and narrower, which
is something I've always wanted. Isn't Blackliner, Monitor version,
similar to the Delaware concept that we were looking at earlier? It
sure looks like Phil has a winner, or winners, here!
