Re: [bolger] Japanese Beach cruiser

One of the first boats I ever built was a little pram with a sprit sail.  I liked the sail because you could roll the whole thing around the mast and sprit, and it would fit in the bottom of the boat.  It was easy to use, and safe, having no boom.  This was good, as it was the boat I learned to sail in.  The only drawback to the sail is it is hard to reef.  I built it from sailcloth I got from Sailrite.

Subject:[bolger] Japanese Beach cruiser

i was thinking of building the japanese beach cruiser in bolgers BWaOM and would like to hear from anybody who has or who has given it some serious thought also if anyone has any experience with spritsails pros cons etc i would be grateful to hear from them i gave the micro some serious thought but it was more boat than i needed as i can only do day trips at this stage but also want something i can run up on the beach as there are a lot of shelving beaches here in tasmania.
