I have a Milwaukee 4 1/2" angle grinder (with the attachment that
takes 30 grit sandpaper). This is an extremely useful tool! I can't
imaging building a boat without one, for mass removal of wood.
Yesterday I found it extremely useful to 'sculpt' the complex compound
curves of the windshield assembly on Topaz.
Hi just my two cents here,I recently bought a twin package PC sanders
an RO 5" one and a1/4 sheet one the improvement was night and day
compared to what I had before; wont say what I had before, cause I
might just get laughed off the net,but as for them 4 1/2 in angle
grinders I dont know if we are talking about the same apples here
10,000rpm per min,I work in the tool repair bay of a welding shop and
so far the toughest angle grinders for the buck are a makita 5" they
are the ones that cause us the less grief in repairs and believe me
they take one h....l of a beating ei;boilermakers our tooldepartment
has well over a thousand of those and we get freebies from just about
every company and to date none of them has even come close to the
makita all brands included, way back dewalt used to make a good
grinder...but that was WAY back....Mike (PS will go and try to get
the name of that pine plywood supplier today)
