I was wondering about that on the 39 also. Not often that a Bolger boat
of that size goes unnoticed and unreported here. I hadn't thought about
the land use planning one, good catch. The most interesting thing to me
was his view of his relationship with Dynamite Payson and how important
that was to the direction he turned to in design.

Just stirring things on topic,:
Wasn't that long autobiographic article about Phil Bolger recently in
MAIB interesting?
Hmmm, it is interesting that the culmination of the fisheries project
hinges upon the the question of land use planning in the ports, which
must be a tough moral ticket for card carrying Libertarian #00058.
So, after a 15 year hiatus they are going to turn back to the long
suffering commissions?
Also, the vague photo of an AS-39 in Florida, whose boat it that?

Hmmm, it is interesting that the culmination of the fisheries project
hinges upon the the question of land use planning in the ports, which
must be a tough moral ticket for card carrying Libertarian #00058.
So, after a 15 year hiatus they are going to turn back to the long
suffering commissions?
Also, the vague photo of an AS-39 in Florida, whose boat it that?
