Re: Number of Glasshouse Chebacco's built?

Hi David,

And if you decide to build a glasshouse Chebacco, do be in touch!

From the link with the photo pages for my Chebacco, if you go up one
directory there's a heading for "Serenity -- 14' Peep Hen"... if
you're inclined toward sailing pictures, there are a bunch from trips
from this past summer and last summer. We had a good time in that
little boat too. The Chebacco is going to feel like a mansion...

Hi David,

So far as I know, mine is only the second glasshouse Chebacco that
has been built. The first was built by Bob Cushing, who had built
some other boats and then decided he'd like to try sailing. He built
a really nice glasshouse Chebacco, sailed it five or six times, and
decided that he really preferred powerboats. So he went back to work
on his Chebacco and turned it into a tugboat! Took off the keel,
built up the stern to support more motor weight, replaced the rudder
with a smaller one, and changed the cabin. It's really quite
something. Lucky me, I ended up with all the sailing parts -- keel,
rudder, beautifully done spars, and the sails and rigging.

You can see construction photos of my boat, as well as pictures of
Bob's boat before and after its transformation, at the following site:

Have you seen the material at www.Chebacco.com?

Enjoy,

Shemaya,

I was just looking this morning for fotos and info on that design. I
hope someone comes along with same. In the meantime, do you have fotos
of yours posted somewhere?

Here's another boat number question...

As far as I know, my glasshouse Chebacco, "Auklet", is the second one
that's been built -- the first that I know of was Bob Cushing's. Are
there others, or is mine in fact hull #2 ?

On the internet I've seen pictures of a model built by the folks who
commissioned the drawings for the glasshouse variation of the Chebacco,
but it seems like those folks never did build the boat.

Does anybody know anything further?

Thanks!
