Glassing the Scooner

FBBB --

Well, the bottom sheet is on, and looks pretty darn good. Again I
used Raka in a 4:1:1 mix; three 30 batches. Someone who knew what
they were doing could have got by with less; at least my driveway
will be nice and waterproof.

That gave me plenty of time to wet-out well before it gelled. Of
course I missed a few spotted, but nothing much bigger than a
quarter, and most all in the area that will be covered by the overlap
of the topsides fabric. No sign of blush at all, but the curing
conditions have been nearly perfect.

I've decided that I am going to turn the boat to do the topsides, but
first I have to cut it off of one of the saw horses. Let that be a
lesson to me. But I'm going to do what little grinding of the rough
edges while the hull is securely fastened to the horses. ;-)

Many thanks to those who chimed in for Raka. I am so far quite happy
with the goop, and so's my wallet.

YIBB,

David
