sailing the Brick, Lincoln's first rule of sailing
Got the Brick we bought from Matthew Long out on the water today.
Very
comfortable and roomy, easy to carry around, handling is just fine,
sails well. The Bohndel sail seems to be cut to a good shape. Very
fun. We went out on Long Pond, near Lakeville, MA, nice spot for it.
Several people were curious about it, one took his wife out in his
skiff just to show it to her.
Lincoln's first rule of sailing: If you see a curious looking beer
keg
painted orange, do NOT investigate closely unless you know the water
depth! Fortunately, the repairs won't take too long, and I've
discovered that the Brick can be made to sail upwind with a MUCH
shorter board! Thought I was beyond such a blatant episode of brain
lock!
