Hobart Wooden Boat Festival

I notice there's a fair bit of activity on the Wooden Boat Forum about
the Hobart Festival with some great photos being posted there, too. I
just got back last night from Hobart and the tragic bush fires in
Victoria are overshadowing the Fesival now, but still, it was a pretty
spectacular event, just the same.

To say that it is the biggest such event in Australia would have to be
an understatement and if anything, I'd say it is too big!

I think I saw one Bolger, a Micro Trawler, which wasn't really on
display. So from a boxboat point of view there wasn't much, but, very
impressive. Some very nice small boats, too. Lots of Huon Pine
lapstrake dinghies and that sort of thing.
