plastic leeboard bearing

Hi -

On such boats as the William Jochems Schooner and the upgraded Martha
Jane, the design calls for a plastic bearing in the form of a large
ring in between the leeboard and the leeboard mounting board.

What are you using for that plastic ring? Just cutting up some
cutting boards?
