Boats, boats, and Bolger

There are boats whose sheer beauty is enough to justify their existence. There are boats so ugly they pass over into the cute category. There are boats so practical it is almost painful. There are boats difficult to build, or unbelievably simple to build. There are boats so different they can be called weird. For all these categories, Phil could say "been there, and done that."

The territory into which Phil seldom ventured was the ordinary. His life was not ordinary, his death was not ordinary, but mostly his boats are not ordinary.

The world needs more extraordinary people. We already miss you, Phil.
