Re: Esmeralda WDJ
Hello Doc,
No, I have not. Actually I have not visited this group for a couple of years (a fact of which I am not proud). Only after having posted the picture I discovered the sad news about Phil. Please excuse my perhabs very improper language. I really was not aware of the incident at the time of writing.
Unfortunately Esmeralda has a leak under the aft port bunk at the chine. As you may know she stays in the water all summer (not on a trailer) and I will have to put her on shore.
Any pictures of your new jib?
Bjorn

It really simplifies use as long as you can live with keeping her hinged sprit deployed all the time and don't mind handing the jib on tacks. I can detect no difference in performance and really enjoy the convenience.

Greetings Bjorn!
It's great to hear that you and Esmeralda are afloat and active. I'd not worry greatly about the cosmetics; just enjoy the summer!

Best regards,

Hello list,
I just uploaded a photo of Esmeralda from yesterday's trip from Oslo to Oscarsborg (the Fortress that attacked Blücher April 9, 1945) - to show you that she is still alive and kicking. As you can see: the spars are in dire need of intensive superficial care.
