Re: Romp sailing photos

I was onboard the original Romp (the one from "30 Odd Boats") that was for sale in a Key West boat yard in March 1990. I really wanted to buy that boat and live on it in the Keys despite the lack of standing headroom. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I was a poor student... One of the more interesting "Bolger" moments in my life.

I've no idea about the logo. The boat, purchased last year, came with two sets of sails. The other set, brown, had a laughing fish caricature probably intended to represent a Beluga whale after the boat's name...it wasn't a good look either:-(

And yes we did win- probably because our handicap had been determined in a few races without the spinnaker;-)

Hi

If anyone is interested I've added a few photos of my brother's Romp called Beluga Too from a recent regatta. We finally managed to get the spinnaker up!(been too breezy the last few times out)

The album is called, naturally, Romp.

Cheers
