Apparently, the rules of the dory racing association specified no foot braces, so I left them out. I agree, they are very useful.
On a fixed seat I find I miss them a lot if they are not there.

In 2005, I built a Stitch and glue Gull out of 6MM okoume, Spanish Cedar, and a little white oak. I had the panel shapes done by Tracy O'Brien, Headwater Boats.
