have had excellent success with the old British Seagull.&nbsp; I had an antique 
3.5 hp model with 5 blade prop that pushed my 17 ft Marsh Hen very well.&nbsp; 
Right,&nbsp; It was hard to start (and stop actually), but it ran forever on 
awful gas and used regular motor oil rather than the expensive 2-stroke 
stuff.&nbsp; I now have a new (?) 2.5 hp model with recoil starter (rope).&nbsp; 
It has less than 50 hrs on it and is not yet broken in.&nbsp; They are really 
hard to kill, easy to work on and parts are available world-wide.&nbsp; AND THE
