The LS survives with a single offset board, true. But it isn't =very=
offset. If it were closer to the gunwale than to the centreline, it
would definitely need a twin on the opposite side. Note also that the
LS board is very deep: it's only masquerading as a shallow water boat.
Hitting obstructions at speed has horrendous impacts on boat and
catapulted crew.

bracketing boards outside the hull will not be obtrusive, unless you
head for violently contrasting color schemes. I shudder to think of the
effort and alignment risks in trying to put in two daggerboard trunks in
an already completed boat.
