I have railed against outboards here primarily because I have found them so
hard to fix after they start deteriorating, especially the new ones. And
they need fixing soon. I bought a brand new Seagull in 1972 to use on a 26'
sailboat. I bought it because of its simplicity and because you can fix it
if it goes bad. It never gave me a problem. I don't recommend refueling it
while it is running however. The fuel filter will pull out the fire
extinguisher powder though.
