Re: how do i purchase plans

Good advice, especially since the rarer Bolger books have 'collector' price tags attached. I eventually bought 30 Odd Boats in excellent condition, and Folding Schooner in terrible condition, both for very good prices. I also have Boats with an Open Mindd. I enjoy them all equally. So don't hesitate to buy a book in poor condition, if it contains info you want.

Careful use of Google and other search engines and investment of many hours will also yield surprising amounts of odd info re Bolger boats.

It appears to me that the remaining partner @ PB&F will bring the company at least into the late 20th century in terms of marketing. I think that Bolger's work will become more accessible and better known than it ever has been. ;-) However, having been widowed myself, I can say it will take significant time for Suzanne to gather the energy to do so. Lets give her the space to recover and begin to move ahead.

There are a lot of variables to consider in picking the right boat to build also. I suggest the books (which you point out are out of print). I found all of them in the library though (library... a radical concept in this internet age). If your library doesn't have them locally, libraries do still perform interlibrary loans.

The only phone number I can find is a fax and my letters to the address in Maine have not been answered. I read that he had passed in May of this year. Are his plans going to be sold anymore? Who do I cantact for a list of his designs? Thanks for any help you can give.
