Small Motorsailer
Of all Phil's designs, I have found myself drawn back over and over
again to this one, and wondered why it never attracted more attention:

I guess a lack of interior storage might be an issue. But lets face it -
most couples only use a boat this size for day or weekend excursions
anyway and could live out of a dunnage bag or two and a cooler. With the
cockpit length a second couple could do an overnighter as well, under
the dodger.
A person might also consider an electric drive with the batteries
located down in the box keel and perhaps leaving enough space in the
engine room for a small genset.
Looks very beautiful to my eye in profile as well, with standing room
amidships.
