A few years back in MAIB I recall a redesign of the Plywood 12 1/2
which increased the freeboard by about 6 inches or so. Pretty boat in
those pictures, I wonder how they achieve that deep bend in the
cockpit combing? Steaming, or laminating thin veneers??

Spectacular boat and build, IMHO. That it could echo the original so well built of square plywood is a testament to Phil's genius.

There were some neat photo's at the memorial of Phil sailing the Rhode
Island boat.

A gentleman in Rhode Island, IIRC, built a very nice boat to the design, and there are/were pictures on the internet, but I didn't find them in a quick look. It's entirely possible that PB&F have taken the name of his boat as the design name as they have rewarded enterprising builders that way once or twice in the past.
