Thanks. This looks like a combination of the micro and the AS29/39.
I think I will be sending off my $24.00 for a subscription.

I

About a week ago somebody, David Ryan I think, wrote asking about
sharpies on the scale of the Breakdown Schooner. I'm surprised
nobody mentioned Bolger's "keel sharpie family live-on-board concept"
from the August 1, 1998 issue of MAIB (Vol. 16, No. 6, pg. 24).
More of a very stretched out Micro than an enlarged AS-29, this is a
55' x 9.5' x 3' rectangular section sharpie cat yawl with a "Chinese
gaff"
mainsail. The interior shows three single staterooms forward plus a
large
double aft, two heads and a big saloon/galley. There is full standing
headroom through most of the boat. On deck there is a sheltered bridge
and room for four Tortoise Punts *and* a June Bug! The main vessel is
outboard powered and designed "...for a family of five with very limited
resources, fit to make an open-sea passage occasionally", according to
Bolger. There appears to be no provision for lowering the masts, but I
suppose such a feature could be arranged after the juggling of some of
the interior.
Bolger says the boat was never built. Anybody interested in tackling it?
I'm tempted, but I don't know what I'd do with all that space, nor how I
would get it down the long, narrow mountain road that I live on now...
