Re: [bolger] LSME Photos & JPG's

Far and away the best tool we have found for optimizing image file
sizes is MacroMedia Fireworks. You get side by side comparisons of
different compression rates, and the overall quality of compression
is superior to Adobe.
I don't recommend running out and buying it if you don't have it
(unless you do this to buy epoxy, like us. Then it's worth twice the
price.) But, it comes bundled with a lot of other Macromedia
software. You might have a copy and not even know it.
Did these images get run through? No, too lazy. Grey days to that to me.

Looks like it coming along.
I used ThumbsPlus shareware to open and resave one of your JPG files, going
from 80Kb to 67Kb. You should be able to find a copy on
www.carlsondesign.com or www.shareware.com/www.download.com
I don't know what happens when we fill our 20 meg; we're just 12 of 20 meg
presently.

It's not much of a boat building day -- grey, rainy, cold.
As an alternative, I've loaded a half dozen or so photos of LSME
under construction into our files area in the folder "LSME Photos"
(clever name, huh?)
They are probably too big and too little compressed. Cable modems advised.
