Re: Off Topic / As anyone seen my hammer?

They did show some bloopers at one time of things not going as planed. They should do more of that. Hate it when everything is right the first time.

I have two toolboxes, one for the house, one for the boat. For some unknown reason, screwdrivers of a feather flock together. I'll put a mix of flat and Phillips in each, but shortly thereafter, all the flat are together, and all Phillips head are together.

I believe your hammer eloped with my 5/8th wrench. Blew a hydraulic hose on the snow plow today and had to use a crescent to remove it.

It's gotten so bad around here, that I had to buy the wife her own flashlight and 18 volt battery, but it sure is nice having an extra battery for the drill, saw, etc.
As a child my dad always asked me where his tools where but now I call him and ask where mine are.

That is not joke, it's true.  And a pain in the but!

If you have a teen age son that isn't to big to beat, beat him first and
ask where the heck he left the hammer and then go outside and look for
it under the bushed. By this time you will remember where you left it. :-)

When my children were younger, my hammers tended to migrate to the nearest skate board ramp building site.  I once pitched a fit and was rewarded with a Father’s Day present of a new hammer!  That one lasted about 2 months….

In the absence of children, wives are pretty good at walking into a messy shop and instantly spotting the missing tool.  There is, of course, a trade off between the pleasure of locating your tool and the pain of putting up with your wife’s snide comments.

I can't believe it, my hammer is gone. Why can't people just leave my tools in the tool box? OK yes someone could break into the house and grab the hammer. But once things like hammers or knifes are hidden away, they are gone for ever. So now I'm off to buy a hammer to replace the one I all ready have but can't find.

I have noticed that and they know which type you are looking for. If you
want a flat tip, only Phillip heads appear and vice versa.

I usually find lost tools under something that they've been accidentally kicked under... generally by me. I had to go with Paul's solution for #2 Phillips, however...

Calm down. The good news is, if you are like me, you will soon have lost hammers in all the likely places and be able to find them much easier. My wife's usual comment, "You're buying ANOTHER tape mesure?"
