suspicious of the seaworthiness of that boat you want to build. It's
already over burdened with a ton of bad karma.

And, FYI, it's not "an unwritten law." The "Permission to build one boat from these plans" statement is written on most every plan by most every designer, and has the weight of the law behind it.
