Strictly speaking, I suppose this is off topic, but a just got a 28
foot, 1950 era Chesapeake sharpie laid on me today. The boat-builder
who hooked me up says her lines are right out of Chappelle
She's a cat-ketch, cedar on oak frames, cross-planked bottom.
There's plenty of work to be done, (new bottom, some new planks for
the sides, and plenty of work on the deck and deckhouse,) but her
skeleton seems to be in good shape.
I'm sure the neighbors will be thrilled to know that once the LSME is
out of the driveway, I've got one (hidden in the backyard at the
moment,) ready to take her place.
