Kevin, a sailboat without rocker can be surprisingly fast. Can be - it all depends. If you can trim the boat so that the stern is just above the water, and also heel it, then it may have less resistance than a rockered boat - gentler flowlines, less draft, and longer waterline. Trimming this boat like that is going to be difficult with an outboard on the transom, and there are already a few issues concerning the bow without pushing it any deeper. With enough power the unrockered boat will loose a great deal of resistance as it begins to plane. Unfortunately, that boat won't achieve that speed under sail. Nevertheless, it could be made to sail after a fashion... BTW that four-sided one's a balanced lug sail I think, alright, but you could do worse than a dipping lug for this application.

How slow is a sailboat with out rocker?
I have posted 3 sketches under skiff 15 in the photos.
I would use the skiff mostly for fly fishing for trout.
I thought it may be fun to sail on occasion and like the lines and no nonsense form of the clam skiff.
I have shortened it to 13' 6" in the photos
