Just had a look at the drawings.I've found a few books from time to time in
the library as well as looked at a few models. I wonder about the square
transom bottom of the hull. Many plans and models I've seen have an upsweep
to the rear section of the hull, allowing more water to flow into the wheel.
This upswept area is also wheel the forward rudders are located. I wonder
if the square bottom will generate excessive turbulence, especially at
higher speeds.

I also recall some competition that feratureed Rube Goldberg boats. Several
were equipped with high speed paddle wheels. Anybody else remember seeing
any of these pictures??
