Parts 23 24 are considered to be keel blocking and stern post(see
building notes 23 & 24). Part 14 is the keel batten (see building
note 14)

Batten, part 14, is glued, screwed and bolted per note 14.

Stern post, part 23, passes through the hull bottom and bolts through
bulkhead "D".

The blocking, parts 24, if fastened with the keel sheathing (step 26),
with glue and 1" ringshank nails (or screws) at about 3 inch spacing.
