Re: [bolger] photos of work skiff
Thanks for your post David. The boat I keep going back to is a Bolger Cabin Clam Skiff called Grinder. It's a little longer and wider that plans call for but Mr Bolger gave his blessings to the changes before she was built. Boat has a roof to stay out of the sun. Builder of Grinder uses her as a cruising boat for he and his wife. They sleep aboard and cook aboard her. Modest but that is what I'm looking for. Only problem for me might be weight. My sub-compact car towing max is 1500 pounds so boat and trailer should not be over about 1000 pounds. If I tow her empty and buy supplies at our destination it might just work. Duckworks has some nice write ups on Grinder. Thats where I first saw her. Hope we see you on the water. Bud and Maria
