Fern Ridge Lake "Classic Styled" Boat Show
August 7th, at Richardson County Park on the NW corner of Fern Ridge
Reservoir, near Eugene, Oregon. This is the first year for the show, but
it looks like it'll be a fun addition to the NW boating calendar. Fern
Ridge is a wonderful sailing lake, with interesting places to go and
wildlife (birds mostly) to see. The show is for boats made of any
material, power and sail, which have a "classic" style, loosely
interpreted -- as I understand it -- as boats that look like boats oughta.
<g>
Camping is available at Richardson Park, or you can anchor out and sleep
on your boat.

Oops! Mike forgot to attach the questionnaire! <g> But please send him the
following info on your boat(s) as soon as possible, if there's any chance

I'm gonna be there!

If that isn't enough for Mike he'll get back to you...
And don't forget to bring a bucket! <g>

Hello John,
Attached is a brief questionnaire for info that we'll use for program
& placards. Best if I get it back this week. I have to be at the
printer next week. (In your case, I'd like to have the info in hand,
so that all I have to do is push a button if you decide you can make
it.)
Show details: Set-up time is 10 a.m to noon on Saturday, Aug. 7. Show
is noon to 5. We will have both an ATV and hand-pulled trailer dollies
available to move boats from the parking lot to the grass.
Can you bring a bucket? Odd request, I know. We have made three-legged
easels for each boat. They will carry placards with information about
the boat type, owner, etc. To keep them from blowing away in the wind,
we need to weight them with a bucket of water. Doesn't have to be a
huge one — just a gallon or two.

Nobody ought to wear a Greek fisherman's hat unless they meet
two conditions: 1. He is a Greek; 2. He is a Fisherman (Roy
