That's what I meant to say:slopwell.   I've got to have the motor and everything associated with it sealed off as well as possible from the people in the boat and everything associated withthem.   I also want to exclude as much of the engine noise as well as I can, so it'll need a box of some kind with a cover or hatch.   

Can anybody point me toward a Bolger design with such attributes?

Dave Gerr's "The Nature of Boats" has a section explaining how to build the transom and slop well depending on motor HP. Phil did not like motor wells as he thought outboards belonged on transoms.

He has drawn this one with an I/O unit but, as I have access to a 90hp Merc, I'll need to build it with an outboard well etc.   I guess I'd be most interested in drawings for a similarly sized Bolger outboard from which to get some ides as to how I shall go about this.

You may need to buy a book like one of Chappel's to learn about lofting, and other detail of how the boat may go together.

Even a stitch&glue instant boat plan needs the support of a book Like Payson's "Instant Boats" so the builder can copy generic skills described there in, to turn the plans into a boat.
