Yes, Free!ship V2.6, (which is distributed under a GNU license), has a
background image function which is extremely useful when modeling
existing hull shapes.__

What is the difference between the free version of Delftship and Freeship? I've use background images (jpgs) of an existing boat to guide the creation of the hull shapes in Delftship, but was wondering if Freeship offers something more, perhaps what you'd get from the paid version of Delftship? And why do you specify a specific version of Freeship?

I have done a lot of isometrics of Bolger boats, mostly because I want
to build boats and life is too short to be building them all in full
scale.
Here are some isometrics I did of Illinois in 2009.

These were done from the magazine article, though I would love a
chance to see the full plans and building key for Illinois. If I
could see them I would be willing to make a higher quality isometric
than the one I did in 2009.
