Micro Lower Rudder Bearing

The lower bearings which I made for a Micro I built in about 2002 were done as per plan. However, these were broken during a trailer launching episode where the owner underestimated the depth of water at a ramp.

I made a replacement pair using laminations of hardwood (Jarrah) and woven carbonfibre cloth, all clamped up in an old book press. Here are some photos in case you are interested.
